LAWMAKERS:
LISTEN TO THE FUTURE
My name is Zoe Cleland.
I am 15 years old and I believe that
physician-assisted suicide
should be legal in Canada.
This issue does not concern only the very old.
It also concerns young people like myself, because it will affect our future
and the future of people we love, such as our parents.
My petition asks you to give your age as well as your name and address,
and the reason is that I want to make a graph showing how many people in
each age bracket feel the same way I do.
But I encourage adults as well as teenagers to sign. However many
voting years you have ahead of you, you may still have enough years to
make politicians pay attention to your desires.
Three notes about signing:
(1) If you can upload a photo of yourself, please do, but this
is optional.
(2) The petition-management site I am using insists on asking
everybody, whatever their age or their country, about their children and
about their preferred US political party. Just ignore these
questions.
(3) The site's rule is "only one signer per e-mail address".
If you currently share an address with someone who has already signed,
you will need to create a new address. Your ISP may allow this; if not,
you can get a free address from Opera or Google or Hotmail or Yahoo.
